Sierra Leone defender, Alieu Kargbo has signed a two-year deal with Liberian top tier league club Fassel FC.
The former Mighty Blackpool defender who was unveiled at the club’s ground over the weekend made his debut in the club’s 2-2 draw with BYC on Sunday at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium.
He said despite the fact that the club won their opening two matches in the ongoing Liberia league, the club is still engaged in a recruitment drive.
Kargbo became the fourth Sierra Leonean player to join a Liberia topflight league side a few weeks after Nimba United unveiled former Bo Rangers skipper, Lamin Janneh, Kamboi Eagles striker Amadu Barrie and Victory Evangelistic FC Midfielder Foday Suma.
The trio all joined the Liberia club on a year loaned deal as the club prepares for continental competition. The Liberian side will face Cameroonian counterparts Union Club da Douala on the 14th February 2016 in Monrovia in the CAF Champions League.
