The Rwanda Volleyball Federation (FRVB) has signed a three-year partnership deal worth Rwf15 with Energy Utility Corporation Limited (EUCL) to promote volleyball in the country.
The deal will see EUCL give Rwf5m every year to promote volley ball and will start with the Genocide Memorial Tournament. Furthermore, the sponsorship will help the federation in organisation of the competitions.

The federation has been struggling to secure sponsors for the league and other competitions. However, the FRVB are still in talks with other sponsors, adding that there's hope to secure other good deals, according to media reports.
Gustave Nkurunziza, the FRVB president said: "We want to improve volleyball. We will be using the money to develop the game across the country. We are trying to secure more sponsorship in order to address the financial problems."
