The Zambians play as guest of Messager in the second leg of the 1/16th round in Bujumbura.
“We have come here (Burundi) with a 2-0 lead but Zesco must play for a win here. That has been my motto from the start that we must win either at home or away,” Krmpotic said.
Zesco also prepared for the trip with a two-day training camp in Lusaka on an artificial pitch to try and adapt to the surface Saturday's game will be played on.
“We have had not enough to training on an artificial pitch but we must try and adapt to these conditions and get a win from this," Krmpotic added.
Zesco have two changes to the team with first choice goalkeeper Jacob Banda back in the team after missing the first leg due to suspension.
But defender Simon Silwimba missed the trip due to an injury he sustained during the previous meeting between the two sides last week in Ndola.
Meanwhile, Messager will be praying lightning strikes twice in Bujumbura following their great escape act in the preliminary stage.
The Burundian champions overturned a 2-1 away loss to Zimamoto of Zanzibar to win 3-1 at home to reach this far.
