Thias Kem Lopez aka THESIS is a returning competitor at the Red Bull BC One. In 2009, he made it to the quarter finals, where he lost to champion Lilou. THESIS began B-Boying 10 years ago at the young age of 7. He reflects, “Hip Hop is the first thing I can remember. Introduced at a very young age, I saw it as a break from all the bullshit in life. Even then, I saw freedom in it and I took it because it just made sense to me. It made me feel complete.”
Victor Montalvo, from Orlando, Florida, was crowned the winner of the Red Bull BC One Orlando Cypher 2013 and the winner of the Red Bull BC One North America Final 2014. He describes his style as fun, free, and energetic. He combines what he calls “blow-ups” and “POW” moves to create a wow factor in his dances. Victor grew up around B-Boying, and looking up to his father who encouraged his pursuit of the art, he started dancing at the age of 11. He is inspired by the old and new generation of B-Boys.
