The athletes spoke to the media after their races and this is what they had to say;
"My goal was to qualify for the final and I have done it. I am feeling good. I know it is going to be a big test but I feel I am ready for it."
Colleen Quigley (USA) – 2nd place
"It was crazy in the last 400m. One of my competitors took a tumble in front of me, there was lots of jumbling and I stepped on her bottom which must have made it hurt even further.
"I had to get back into my spot and ran a really good last 200m, but it was really scary.
"It's my first indoor championships and my first indoor final so it's now about seeing how many people I can beat and hopefully have the best day on the big day."
Sifan Hassan (NED) – 1st place
"It was a tactical, good race, a bit difficult but I managed it. It was hard for me especially because I have not run so many competitions this season and I do not have so much speed. I wanted to finish in the top two so it was good.
"The tactics – I have no idea about how is it going to be in the final, what to expect... The field is so strong so let's see what is going to happen."
Winny Chebet (KEN) – 2nd place
"It is my first time at the world indoors and to run a personal best and make it through to the final, makes me very happy."
