Coming off one of the most competitive season in years the NBA 2015 playoffs started off red hot as 3 games out of the 4 fought of their challengers to keep their home court advantage.

The new age stars and some of the veterans amped up enough came to play and that they did as the first round got off to a great start.

In the first game of the day between Washington Wizards, veteran Paul Pierce willed his team to a victory that almost seemed improbable with the way the Toronto Raptors were handling the Wizards in the early going. At one time in the game the Raptors had a double digit lead which they eventually relinquished once Pierce was injected into the game. He virtually took over the Game and with the way he led the Brooklyn Nets in the last playoff of 2014 to demolish the Raptors and send them home, Pierce in now a true Raptor killer and the fans in Toronto and across Canada know this and they do not hide their disdain for the 17 years veteran. The Wizards will eventually outlast the Raptors to take the Game in an overtime victory with a score of 93 to 86.

In Game two of the day the New Orleans Pelicans with Anthony Davis came to play too late in the fourth quarter against the top seeded Golden State Warriors. Even with a 35 point game and a late surge that saw the Pelicans draw close with 4 points they would eventually lose to the Warriors with a score of 99 to 106.The Chicago Bulls are rejuvenated with a healthy Derrick Rose in the lineup. Playing with a bounce in his step and not having to do as much to facilitate the Game Jimmy Butler went off for 25 points using his energy for what he is already known for in playing defense. Derrick Rose will end up with 23 points as they beat the Bucks 103 – 91.

In the final game of the day it was James Harden and one time Maverick Jason Terry of the Houston Rockets who wore out the Dallas Mavericks as they defeated Dirk Nowitzki and company to take a one game lead with a score of 118 to 108.
