The four team’s tournament will get underway on Saturday at the Prince of Wales Secondary School cricket ovals, Kingtom with Mid-West facing SLP in their first match of the day before taking on RSLAF in their second clash.
He said: “This tournament is designed to improve the players’ score rate, which is why we are looking forward to seeing a combative tournament because the players have enjoyed weeks of rest after the national league ended in December.”
The SLCA CEO further revealed that the competition will also be used as preparation for the North West African Cricket tournament which will come up in Nigeria at a later date in March.
The Super league is designed for the top four teams at the just concluded national cricket league and those four teams are; Sierra Leone Police, Midwest, Asian Pro and RSLAF.
The tournament was earlier scheduled to kick-off on Sunday January 17th at the same venue but was postponed due to use of the grounds last week.
