Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has confirmed that the national team, Leone Stars will play an international friendly encounter against The Flames of Trinidad and Tobago in United Kingdom between 28th August and 5th September 2017.
He said: “The venue and city in the UK is yet to be determined but they are planning to settle for the FIFA date which is any time between 28th August and 5th September 2017.
“The SLFA President plans to use the encounter in the U.K. as an opportunity to launch the Leone Stars official jerseys with MAFRO sponsors in attendance.”
The SLFA media officer added that international friendly matches will be a key priority for the Johansen led administration especially when the national team will have to wait until nine months before playing their next 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifying match against Ethiopia in Addis.
If all plans and preparation goes as scheduled, the clash will be Sierra Leone’s third international friendly to be played in England after they played a friendly against Leyton Orient in 2007.
