The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) last Friday announced that the long awaited annual congress will be staged on January 29th -30th 2015 but the venue is yet to be confirmed.
According to the Association’s General Secretary, they have already notified all the stakeholders about the congress date through a correspondence with which was also attached a letter from the World’s Football Governing body, FIFA.
However, in the event that the congress clashes with an event with the national team; Leone Stars, the scribe revealed they are left with no option as per the regulation but to defer the congress.
It could be recalled that few months back, several stakeholders urged and reminded the SLFA that the annual congress was long overdue, a situation which further created lots of accusation from some section of the stakeholders that the SLFA executive wanted to or are deliberately refusing to stage the congress.
In related development, former Head of Marketing and Communication at the SLFA, John Konteh launched the newly constructed website which is the first ever web page the SLFA has secured in operation.
