In her third meet of the 2015 Outdoor Track and Field season, US born, Sierra Leonean sprinter Hafsatu Kamara came through at a meet in Colorado this weekend to take second place in the 100 meters on a rainy and wet night clocking a time of 11.88 seconds. The scheduled 200 meters race in which she was set to compete was cancelled due to increasing bad weather.
Hafsatu Kamara who recently represented Sierra Leone at the 2014 Glasgow, Scotland Commonwealth Games started her season a few weeks back at a meet in Arizona where she currently resides and trains out of the World Athletics Center in preparation for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games with 24 seconds 200 meters outing.

Hafsatu expressed great satisfaction and joy at the progress made thus far this early going in the 2015 season and hopes that the progress she is making will yield dividends for her effort and lead her to major meets against bigger competitions out there. She hopes to represent Sierra Leone at the upcoming 2015 IAAF World Athletics Championships in Beijing, China this August.
