Sierra Leone Players Abroad  …Suma makes debut in Assyriska victory

Abu Bakarr Suma had a winning start in his debut match for Assyriska FF last Saturday thanks to a 3-1 home win over Sandviken in the Swedish Division 1 Norra.
 
The Sierra Leone midfielder who signed a one-year deal with the third tier Swedish league side on Friday from the Superettan side; IK Frej was given a full time nod as he helped his new side settle for all three points at the  Södertälje Fotbollsarena.  

Still with the Swedish Division 1 Norra, Suma’s countryman, Ishmael Koroma continued to enjoy an interrupted full time display for relegation threat Nyköping Bios. The Sierra Leone defender was on the losing end again after they were beaten 2-3 at home by the traveling Akropolis.
 
In the Swedish top tier, the Allsvenskan, striker Mohamed Buya Turay and his AFC Eskilstuna registered their first victory in 15 matches defeating Kalmar FF 2-1 on Saturday.
 
Despite unable to get his name on the scoring chart, Turay 90+ minutes spell helped them with their first victory since gaining promotion and goals from Nigerian striker Chidi Dauda Omeje and Ludvig Ohman sealed the win for the home side.
 
In Kazakhstan, John Kamara’s Kaisar FC also registered home win defeating Atyrau 2-0 … Hassan Sesay was an unused sub for Lahti as they were forced to a 1-1 draw by Rops.  Abdul Sesay was the other Sierra Leonean in action but could not help his JS Hercules team from going down 3-2 to Kajaani.
 
In the U.S. National America Soccer League, Michael Lahoud and his Miami side overpowered San Francisco Deltas 1-3 at the Kezar Stadium on Sunday.
 
Meanwhile, Sierra Leone international defender David Simbo signed a one-year contract with Turkish side, Eskisehirs Kutuluspor for an undisclosed fee from Yeni Amasyaspor.
 
The 27 year-old has already had a spell with Motala, Trelleborg, Boden and Sandviken. He has also played for Sudanese side, Al-Hilal in 2014/2015 league season before joining Najran and Krumkachy Minsk in Belarus.
