An injured knee has delayed the return of BK Häcken striker, Alhassan ‘Crespo’ Kamara who was left-out of the team’s Monday 2-0 win over Hammarby to mark the restart of the Swedish league, the Allsvenskan.
The Sierra Leonean forward who has converted five of 12 goals before Monday’s clash could be out of action for months but officials of the Swedish top tier league club are yet to confirm the length of time he could be on the sideline.
Meanwhile, the club confirmed that a further assessment of the damage is expected to be known on Wednesday.
Elsewhere, Ishmael Koroma featured full time for Nyköping as they recorded a 3-1 win over Assyriska in the Swedish First division while in Kazakhstan, John Kamara’s Kaisar club were forced to a goalless draw by Akzhayik.
In U.S Major League Soccer, striker Kei Kamara and his New England Revolution side suffered their second straight defeat, this time losing 3-0 to the Philadelphia Union. The Sierra Leonean hit-man was substituted in the 71st minute.
Michael Lahoud was the other Sierra Leonean in action playing full time for Miami who registered another home win on Sunday. Miami defeated New York Cosmos 2-1 while in Finland; Abdul Sesay enjoyed another full time action with JS Hercules. The Finnish third tier league club won 3-0 over JBK.
