Finland based midfielder, Hassan Milla Sesay and Swedish based striker, Mohamed Kabia aka Daddy Drogba were the two Sierra Leone players on target over the weekend in their respective European club.
Milla Sesay 82nd minute strike gave his Finland premier league side, Lahti FC a point in their 1-1 draw with Mariehamn after Argentina’s Solignac gave the visitors the lead in the 76th minute.
In Sweden’s second division league, Daddy Drogba scored his third goal in two matches for FC Linköping City but his 89th minute strike only gave his side the consolation goal as they suffered a 3-1 defeat to Enskede IK.
In the Superrattan, defender Ibrahim Marcel Koroma’s full time action was not enough to save his side Varberg Bios from suffering a 0-1 home defeat to Angelholm. In the first division, defender Mohamed Kamanor played fulltime while his countryman Lansana Kamara was introduced in the 57th minute as their side Umea suffered a 1-0 defeat, Forward; Ishmael Koroma Nyköpings BIS also suffered a 1-0 away defeat to IK Brage.
In Turkey, midfielder, Khelifa Jabbie played full time as his Balikesirspor side suffered 1-0 defeat to Beşiktaş. Umaru Bangura saw full time action as his Dinamo Minsk side secured a 2-0 win over Naftan.
In Portugal second tier league, Ibrahim Obreh Kargbo played full time for Atletico CP in their 2-5 away win over Maritimo B. China based defender; Gibril Sankoh also had full time action for his side Henan Jianye 1-0 win over Liaoning Whowin
In England’s championship, Medo Kamara was again an unused sub as Bolton’s poor run continued with a 1-2 defeat to Bournemouth but in League One Mustapha Dumbuya played full time in his side’s Notts County 1-0 win over Gillingham whilst in League Two, winger Abdulia Bell-Baggie played for 81 minutes in Tranmere Rovers 2-0 away defeat to Bury.
