The all Sierra Leone battle between Mohamed Buya Turay and Alhassan ‘Crespo’ Kamara in the Swedish top tier, Allsvenskan ended in a goalless draw on Sunday between AFC Eskilstuna and BK Häcken.
It was Buya Turay’s AFC Eskilstuna side who were pleased with the single point while Kamara and his BK Häcken were left frustrated as they dropped points to slide to the bottom of the table.
Alhassan Kamara on the other hand had a great opportunity with a header which he nodded wide and a few minutes later he was presented with another opportunity but dropped behind and shouted for a a penalty but the referee, Martin Strömbergsson turned down the claim.
Unlike Kamara who was replaced in the 80th minutes, Turay enjoyed full time action but his AFC Eskilstuna side still sits at the bottom of the log.
In the second tier, Superettan, Alie Sesay came off the bench in 74th minute as IFK Frej were forced to a goalless draw by Degerfors and in Kazakhstan John Kamara saw full action for Kaisar as they registered another home win defeating Shakhter Karagandy 2-1.
Elsewhere, Gorica defeated Julius Wobay’s Olimpija 1-0 in the Slovenia league, while in the U.S Major League, Kei Kamara turned provider as he setup Fagundez who tapped in the Sierra Leonean’s cross to equalize in the 24 minutes against Columbus Crew. Fagundez went on to score the winning goal.
There was other sierra Leonean in action; Striker Alhaji Kamara was given 83 minutes of play time with the Richmond Kickers 1-1 draw away to Rochester Rhinos and Micheal Lahoud also helped Miami defeat Indy Eleven 0-2.
In Turkey, Alfred Zagolo Sankoh saw full time action for Denizlispor as they were forced to 1-1 draw by Göztepe.
