The Rwandans are housed in Group B alongside Ethiopia and Tanzania for the regional championship fixed for 11-20 September 2016.
Despite the seemingly difficult awaiting them, She-Amavubi coach Nyinawumuntu is hoping to finish at least second in the group, which will guarantee her side a place at the last four.
“We are going to have a very big tourney because we have good teams participating. We are aware of the task ahead of us but we are well prepared and shall do everything to finish in the best position possible,” added AS Kigali women’s team coach.
“We have a depth of quality in the team and I’m optimistic of an impressive performance. We will be playing against strong sides like Tanzania and Ethiopia, who play well and are organized”, Nyinawumuntu noted.
Rwanda starts her campaign against Tanzania in Group B on Monday, 12 September 2016 before squaring Ethiopia two days later.
