According to funeral arrangements, he will be taken from the morgue on January 26, 2017 for Wake Keeping at his Mamprobi residence and buried on January 27, 2017 at the Osu Cemetry in Accra.
They featured for Accra Hearts of Oak and the national teams before moving outside to play in Europe and America respectively.
He called on all Accra Hearts of Oak fans and supporters of Bayern Munich in Ghana to help him mourn and bury his father.
According to Chris Saba who has been on the quite for some time, he is very happy working in Germany as an Assistant Coach at the Bayern Munich Youth U16 side and hopes to become a bigger coach in future as he is learning a lot as well as imparting massively.
He revealed his contribution to Ghana Football playing at the World Under 17 in Ecuador and winning the World Under 17 Cup, before featuring at the Atlanta Olympic Games in the USA.
Popularly known as Alonzo, he noted that not playing at the main seniors FIFA World Cup is one of his regrets as he recollects Ghana playing against Zimbabwe where the Black Stars were robbed, after he had scored the first goal and in the dying minutes of the game the referee awarded a doubtful penalty against him and Ghana when the ball hit his stomach.
“In fact it was my saddest day as a footballer, and you can not believe the see stars like Abedi Pele and Tony Yeboah and myself weeping after the match” he said.
Saba wished the current Black Stars well and urged them to go all out to win the next African Cup in Gabon 2017.
