But South African players are also hoping to be part of that transfer frenzy with the latest being Supersport United goalkeeper Ronwen Williams who will travel to Germany for a trial with Bundesliga side Schalke 04.
The impressive shot stopper will spend a week in Germany where he will undergo a week long training session with the ambitious side. Williams had a fantastic 2013/ 14 domestic season which culminated in call up to the Bafana Bafana squad.
Williams has previously been linked with trials in Spain and Belgium but he will now have his opportunity to show off his talent in Germany.
Williams has made over 50 appearances for Supersport United.
