Rugby World Cup winner John Smit has given his match reaction to the opening Pool B match of Rugby World Cup 2015, South Africa v. Japan.
Rugby World Cup 2015 is on course to become the best attended, most viewed and most socially engaged Tournament ever. Watching the match at Brighton Community Stadium along with a capacity crowd, the Land Rover Ambassador thought Japan deserved their 34-32 win against South Africa.

Having lifted the Webb Ellis Cup in 2007, former South African forward Smit commented:
“I thought we (South Africa) would be okay today but Japan kept on coming. We played our normal game but Japan never stopped attacking. I wondered how long they would be able to keep going at that intensity but they lasted the full 80 minutes, it was heroic.”
