
The match will take place at Saint-Etienne's Geoffroy-Guichard stadium on 20th April and will be the UNDP's XII Match against Poverty.
Ronaldo and Zidane will take part in the game together with friends that they invite that includes other current professional players and retired Saint-Etienne players.
Two thirds of the money raised will go to helping those affected by the Ebola epidemic in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone. The other third will be donated to Saint-Etienne's association, ASSE Couer-Vert, which promotes and develops social programmes in the city.
"Ebola won't be eradicated until the last case has been treated. That's why we must help these countries to deal with it over the long term", assured Zidane.
The 11 Matches in the fight Against Poverty that have been held since 2003 have raised nearly $4 million, which has gone to reconstruction projects like the earthquakes in Haiti and Pakistan, and recovery work in the Philippines after a typhoon’s destruction, as well as aid to feed the starving in the Horn of Africa and also to fight against poverty in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America.
