From Nov 15-16 the world’s best ballers will descend on Salvador to battle it out for the world title. 35 countries will be represented and qualifications will be on November 15 with all the big names in the mix, including last year’s champion Szymon Skalski from Poland.
The location of the competition is The Pelourinho, the historic central neighbourhood, where pop icon Michael Jackson filmed his video for "They don´t care about us". Few cities could be more appropriate than Salvador to host this world-class sport event. Brazil’s first capital is famed for having the best carnival celebrations in the country.
Dozens of qualification tournaments held throughout the year handpicked the best national talents who will now go for the big title. The rules could not be simpler: 3 minutes, 2 players, 1 ball.
The jury evaluates the performance, skills and tricks and declares a winner who advances to the next round.
