The main objective of this workshop is to be able to transmit and share the successful methods that have been used in Canada for the last 15 years that have led many Canadian sports federations to completely restructure their sports programs for young children. These changes have delivered excellent results and have been integral to the development of sport throughout the country.
Many interesting topics will be discussed during this course, divided into the following themes: General Description of the Program; Key Factors of Long-Term Development in Sports and Physical Activity; Seven Stages of Long-Term Development in Sports and Physical Activity; Quality Sports (eLearning); Training and Competition; Physical Literacy (eLearning); and Training and National Sports Systems; among others.
This seminar, taught by Sport for Life professionals led by CEO Richard Way, will consist of eight sessions of two hours each, with one session each week beginning on September 2 and ending on October 21. It will also include evaluations and certificates of completion will be delivered to all participants once the course ends.
Panam Sports invites all interested parties to register as soon as possible through their respective National Olympic Committees. Places are limited and the registration period closes on August 28. Each session of the course will be held in English with simultaneous translation in Spanish.
