DAR ES SALAAM (FIBA Africa Champions Cup 2016) - Rwandan side Patriots advanced to Semi-Finals following a 67-45 win over National Engineering of South Sudan on Monday.
In the lead from the onset, the Patriots controlled their destiny in this tie ahead 13-10 in the first quarter and 29-12 at Half-Time.
Captain Ali Kubwimana and Sunny Munyandamutsa Niyomugabo dropped 12 points apiece while point guard Aristide Mugabe added nine.
Meanwhile, Kenyan champions Ulinzi continued their winning run registering a second straight win after seeing off Espoir of Rwanda 95-71 in what was expected to be a close game.
Four Ulinzi players were in double figures with Erick Mtoro and Victor Odendo scored 26 and 20 points respectively while William Ochieng and Ancet Wafula added 19 and 11 points respectively to stay in the contest for a Semi-Final place having lost their opener against City Oilers 93-55.
Ugandan side City Oilers defeated Citizen of South Sudan 86-53 to keep their winning ratio at 2-0.
James Okello and Stanley Ociti sunk 14 points apiece with the latter picking nine rebounds while Landry Ndikumana added 10.
In the other game of the day, USIU Tigers defeated Savio 63-54 for their second win to remain unbeaten in Group A with two wins in as many games.
