Pistorius spent his seventh day in the witness stand being accused by prosecutor Gerrie Nel of “concocting” a version to hide the fact he had shot Reeva after an argument.
Nel put it to Pistorius that Reeva ran out of the room screaming after an argument and was standing behind the toilet door talking to him when she was shot in the hip. He said Pistorius had changed aim and fired three more shots at her after hearing her falling onto the magazine rack.
He put it to Pistorius tht he was screaming at Reeva and not the burglars to get out of his house.
Pistorius steadfastly stuck to his version that he thought there was a burglar in his house, but had fired shots at the toilet door out of fright.
Nel accused Pistorius of changing his version of putative self defence to a defence of shooting involuntarily.
The prosecutor also wrapped up his case against Pistorius yesterday.
