The world’s best breakers will meet up at Amsterdam’s Westergasfabriek for the 14th Red Bull BC One World Final on November 4. The excitement is building with just ten days left until Red Bull BC One hits the capital city for three intense days of Hip Hop celebration. After months of preparation and a long journey of local Cypher events in over 30 countries, all eyes are on the best dancers in the world who will showcase their mastery of breaking in what promises to be an epic world final – the dancers are about to give it all to claim the 2017 Red Bull BC One belt.
The true essence of the Hip Hop culture is found in its unique collective consciousness: the creative, causative force behind Hip Hop’s elements, prompting many dancers to stress that Hip Hop is not something one does, but rather something one lives. Some dancers emphasize on style and power moves, some put their emphasis on power moves and their combination, and others show their style and individuality by footwork and freeze. The one-on-one battle format will let the dancers show not only their mastery of the breaking essentials but also their overall style and individual expression. With the level of competition and the talent rising every year, Crazy Legs (USA), Hong 10 (KOR), Niek (NED), Intact (UKR), and AT (FIN), who are sitting in the judging panel – will have a hard time to identify THE breaker who can claim the title.
Red Bull BC One is a global celebration of Hip Hop, combining dance, music, style and art followed by millions on TV and online. Since its inception in 2004, it has become the premier competition in the world of break dancing, consistently attracting the best individual breakers on the planet. Since the first event in Switzerland, the annual competition has moved from Germany to Brazil, South Africa, France, USA, Russia, South Korea, Italy, and Japan.
