The Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant saga continued Thanksgiving Eve when Durant’s Golden State Warriors came calling at his old haunt in Oklahoma, and it did not go as Durant would have loved to have it.
The Thunder took it to the Warriors from the opening tip of the game to the very end for a well earned victory.
Westbrooks ferocity and intensity spilled over into a confrontation between him and Kevin Durant during the 3rd Quarter as they pushed against each other with their heads and exchanged words. The incident earned them both a technical and the two continued through the rest of the Game without incident.
Durant finished with 21 points and was pulled halfway through the fourth quarter and Steph Curry added 24 points.
The confrontation between the two is testament that there is still some bad blood between the two, even though Durant during a Post-game interview claimed, it’s “just ball” their body language and exchange said otherwise. The Two teams will face off again on Tuesday February 6th in Oakland, California.
