African Superstar sprint sensation Blessing Okagbare was in Jamaica over the weekend to officially kick off her 2015 Track & Field Season in her disciplines (the 100 & 200 meters). With very warm reception the Jamaican crowd cheered heartily for her on her introduction prior to the race at the Jamaican International Invitational in Kingston on Saturday.
Lining up against other world class athletes like Allyson Felix of the USA and Kerron Stewart of Jamaica the race was filled with anticipation from the crowd of a spectacular performance by the stars. Newcomer and Jamaican rising star Elaine Thompson will surprise everyone as she took the race in 10.97 seconds with Blessing coming in second with a time of 11.05 seconds followed by the USA’s Allyson Felix.
