With New York already holding a commanding lead against San Jose, Royer piled it on with a 90th minute goal from a tough angle to extend the Red Bulls’ lead to 4-1 (Watch Goal). Moments later, Royer would complete his brace, freeing himself of a defender with a sweet cutback move before placing a left-footed shot into goal to complete New York’s 5-1 victory in the 91st minute (Watch Goal).
The Austrian National Team player continued his hot scoring ways in the next game against Minnesota, sending a left-footed shot from long range past goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth to give the Red Bulls a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute (Watch Goal).
