BAMAKO - Malian international Djeneba N’diaye can’t stop winning individual awards.
Two years after being crowned Africa’s best player at U18 Championship for Women 2014, in which Mali won the continental title, the Djoliba Athletic Club ace is back in the limelight again, and the local media was there to witness the award-winning ceremony.
Described as one of the best home-based players, N’diaye has long been tipped as a future star to the national team.
And by the time she made her national team debut at FIBA AfroBasket Women 2015, at the age of 18, the 1.69m guard responded in style.
During the award-winning ceremony, attended by a number of the basketball shareholders, the Malian Basketball Federation named Papa Tandina as the best male player in the country.
