Orlando Pirates winger Sifiso Myeni harbours no ill will towards Thulani Hlatshwayo for the tackle which almost ruled him out of the CAF Confederation Cup final.

The Buccaneers host Etoile du Sahel in the first leg at Orlando Stadium on Saturday looking to make up for their disappointing showing in the 2013 CAF Champions League final, where they lost to Al-Ahly 3-1 on aggregate.

Myeni's participation this weekend was cast into doubt after he was injured in the 1-0 defeat to Bidvest Wits on October 21, having been on the receiving end of a bad challenge from Hlatshwayo.

The 27-year-old was rushed to hospital with a suspected broken leg, but those fears were eased when scans revealed only ligament damage.

Myeni has since made a full recovery to put himself in the frame for the visit of the Tunisian giants this weekend, and he insists there is no bad blood between him and Hlatshwayo.

Speaking at a press conference this week, Myeni said: "He gave me a call the following day after that injury because he came to me at the stadium when I was still inside.

"He said he didn't mean it, he was looking at the ball. Obviously I had to tell him that this is part of football. I couldn't say 'you did this intentionally'. He apologised and I told him no stress because nothing was broken.

"I have been in worse injuries, someone broke my leg and they didn't even try to call me. I dealt with it myself.

"He called me and we spoke, I told him no stress there was nothing major. Even if I see him now, I will greet him. I am that kind of a person. It's part of football. For me, all is well."
