At the launch of the MTN Skate Soccer in Kumasi, Mr. Simon Amoh, Senior Manager, General Trade of MTN Ghana said they appreciate the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of unique and creative people.
He said organising the Skate Soccer is one of such exciting ways to help the physically challenged while brightening their lives.
“The story of these skaters are amazing and typically resonates with MTN’s Leadership and relationship values. We are inspired by the tenacity and strength of these people. More importantly, we hope that with the growth of this sport, other people will be attracted into the teams and it will keep them meaningfully engaged” he expressed,
He stressed his imagine on how difficult it was to start the project and to secure funding for other activities and congratulated the International Federation of Skate Soccer (IFSS) for championing the cause and helping to identify talents.
He assured that together with the players, officials, media and IFSS, they hope that Skate Soccer will grow in Ghana and beyond and that in future so that they will win Gold at the Olympic Games.
He hinted that aside organizing the maiden event, the league is tentatively scheduled to take place in Accra on June 29th 2019 and July 27th 2019 respectively.
“Having declared this year as “the Year of the Customer” in MTN, I wish to assure our subscribers of more life enriching packages. We will continue to innovate, create and build meaningful relationships that will improve customer experience and brighten lives” he expressed.
He congratulated all the competing teams and praised them as an inspiration to many in society.
