In addition, the MLS Disciplinary Committee, the ruling body for Coach/Staff appeals, has denied the appeal for the dismissal of New York City FC Head Coach Patrick Vieira. On August 13, Vieira received a red card and was dismissed after the final whistle for irresponsible behavior. Therefore, the punishment is upheld and Vieira will be suspended for his next match against the LA Galaxy on Saturday, August 20.
· Each Club is entitled to two (2) unsuccessful appeals per season (including playoffs). Since both appeals were unsuccessful, New York City FC will not be able to appeal any future dismissals for the 2016 season.
· The Independent Panel consists of one representative from the U.S. Soccer Federation, one representative from the Canadian Soccer Association and one representative from the Professional Referees Organization (PRO).
