According to Theo Armah, a member of the management of Media 2 Concepts, they have decided to move the Playing Cards Tournament to the communities for preliminary rounds, before coming together for the finals.
According to Theo Armah, a broadcast journalist with Obonu FM, the premier Ga radio station, 12 teams will gather at the chief’s palace park at Bortianor on Saturday April 15, 2017.
He said attractive prizes have been placed at stake for winners and outstanding performers and appealed to other corporate bodies to support the event and Playing Cards in Ghana, as very soon they would be going for international tournaments.
He commended DJ Lalu of Media 2 Concepts for his efforts at making people in the deprived communities happy during festive periods.
Meanwhile, Chill Ice Mineral Water have promised to refresh contestants, while Joe Keli of Lakeside and Hon. Pizaro, Assembly Member of Bortianor has also promised a special package for the tournament.
Hon. Pizaro noted that the event can attract more tourists who visit the area during special occasions.
Miksi, a brand of Promasidor has been associated with Playing Cards for the past years and the organisers want other companies to join to make the programme grand.
