In a well attended ceremony, the lucky winner who decided not to reveal his identity for personal reasons was presented with a cheque at the company’s headquarter at Krootown Road in Freetown.
“We are happy to see the sixth winner of the Jackpot since the launching of the game in March this year,” he said.
The company’s Managing Director, Martin Michael said the 4/50 Jackpot is now a popular game amongst their customers and even non-customers who are now eager to be part of it. Chairman of Mercury International Charitable Foundation, Samir Hassanyeh who presented the cheque to the luck winner advised him to invest the money wisely and increase on his financial statues.
The winner in just few words said he was pleased for such winning because he does not always forecast like others do before playing. “I always select numbers rampantly whenever I play and only stake a total of Le 20,000 for different tickets.”
Meanwhile, the sum of eleven million three hundred and sixty-nine thousand Leones (Le 11, 369,000) as 10% tax payment to the National Revenue Authority.
