The Israeli based club confirmed it on their club’s website that the Bolton Wanderers midfielder is expected to join the club on trials with an option of securing a permanent move.
According to the report, it was rumored lately that Bolton have been looking to offload the former Partizan Belgrade midfielder who has been out of favor with the team since the arrival of manager Neil Lennon.
The 27-year old midfielder Medo joined Bolton in January 2013 on a three-and-a-half-year contract for a fee of around £300,000, made his debut at the Championship the following month during which he came on as a substitute in a 4-1 win over Hull City.
Freelance sports journalist Raphael Gellar confirmed the news of Kamara’s possible move to the Israeli club after he posted it on his tweeter page: ‘Maccabi Haifa FC confirms that Sierra Leone international Mohamed Kamara will arrive at the club for trial.’
Maccabi Haifa FC is one of four clubs in the "Big Four" in Israeli football and has won the league title twelve times with five State Cups and four Total Cup. Maccabi has won the championship and the cup in the same season (referred to as winning the "double") one time and were also the first Israeli club to qualify for the group stages of the UEFA Champions League.
