MLS is set to kick off its 20th regular season this week as all 20 clubs commence their 2015 campaigns. It all starts with Univision Deportes’ inaugural Viernes de Futbol when defending MLS Cup champions LA Galaxy host the Chicago Fire at StubHub Center on Friday at 10 p.m. ET live on UniMás. The action will continue on Saturday with a full slate of games, highlighted by a Canadian showdown between rivals Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Toronto FC at B.C. Place at 6 p.m. ET on TSN. The match will see the return of U.S Men’s National Team forward Jozy Altidore to MLS as he adorns a TFC shirt for the first time in a competitive match. Alongside Altidore will likely be 28-year-old Italian national team forward Sebastian Giovinco who made the jump to the Great White North from the Italian Serie A. On the other half of the field, dynamic playmaker and 2014 MLS Newcomer of the Year, Pedro Morales, will lead the Caps in their home opener.

Sunday will close out opening week’s activity with its first MLS Soccer Sunday featuring an action-packed triple-header all broadcast live on national television. Up first, MLS’ two new expansion clubs will reign in a new era, as Orlando City SC, led by Brazilian star Kaká and returning American Brek Shea, welcome David Villa and New York City FC to a completely sold-out 60,000 fans in the Citrus Bowl at 5 p.m. ET on ESPN 2 and ESPN Deportes. FOX Sports will follow with its own double-header, starting with Sporting Kansas City vs. New York Red Bulls at 7 p.m. ET and Seattle Sounders FC vs. New England Revolution at 9:30 p.m. ET, both live on Fox Sports 1 and FOX Deportes.
