Dogboe who was supported by a large number of people becomes the eighth Ghanaian to win a World title, however looking at the ages of those boxers, the Volta descendant with international discipline is the youngest among them.
David Kotey ‘Poison’ won Ghana’s first World title at the age of 28, before Azumah “Zoom Zoom” Nelson claimed Ghana’s second World title when he was 26 years-old.
Joseph Agbeko won Ghana’s sixth World title when he was 27 years, Joshua Clottey add his name to the list by winning Ghana’s seventh World title at age 31. And now Dogboe has won Ghana’s eighth World title at age 23.
His victory has set the tone for more victories as many budding boxers are lined up for greatness this year.
