GABORONE (FIBA Africa Champions Cup Women 2017) - The FIBA Africa Champions Cup Women 2017 (ACCW) zone 6 Qualifiers resumed on Saturday in Gaborone, Botswana, with InterClube destroying Zimbabwean side Lakers 99-37.
Following a resounding triumph over Primeiro D'Agosto on Friday, Mozambique champions Ferroviario de Maputo - a self-proclaimed ACCW title contender - did it again on Saturday, this time outplaying Botswana side BDF 137-17.
Meanwhile, former ACCW champions D'Agosto bounced back, dispatching locals Police Academy 123-32.
Day 3 of the regional qualifier continue on Sunday at University of Botswana Sports Indoor Arena with following fixtures:
Ferroviario de Maputo v Southern Mavericks; Lakers v D'Agosto and Police Academy will go up against InterClube.
The FIBA Africa Zone 6 tipped off on Friday October 20 and will finish on Thursday October 26.
There are two spots at stake for Southern Africa clubs for the 2017 annual ACCW, which will take place in Luanda, Angola from November 10-19.
