The male team is in group B which includes; host nation Guinea, Senegal and Mauritania.
According to the Sierra Leone Handball Association (SLHA) Public Relations Officer Femi Cole, the IHF tournament is a competition which always attract over five nations mainly from the Zone II region.
Both male and female teams are undergoing intensive daily training session at the Siaka Steven stadium ahead of the tournament.
“Both teams will comprise of 14 players each. The female team has young players born in 1997 while the male team’s youngest was born in 1996, “Cole said.
He also revealed that four coaches; two for each team will attend a coaching course during the tournament while a couple of referees will be attending the referee’s course.
Sierra Leone delegation is expected to depart the country on 21st July 2016 a day before the official arrival date for all teams.
