Shahid Afridi and seven other Pakistani cricketers were fined for breaching team curfew ahead of their crucial tie against India in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. They have been warned that if there is a repeat of offence will see them kicked out of the tournament.
As reported by Cricketcountry.com, sources within the Pakistan team said that eight of the Pakistan players, which also included former captain Shahid Afridi and opener Ahmed Shehzad, were fined 300 Australian dollars (US $230) after they came late to their Sydney hotel on Sunday.
The players are said to have gone out for dinner with friends and return 45 minutes late. The players are understood to have apologised and have promised to not repeat the offence.
The team management headed by manager Naveed Cheema, an ex-military man, have told the players that if the breach was repeated they will be sent home on the first available flight
