Brazilian-import Andre Rocha Da Silva curled home a spectacular free-kick seven minutes after captain Abdeladim Khadrouf had headed the hosts into the lead midway through the second half.
The equalizer denied the Moroccans their first ever win at the mini-league, leaving them at the depth of the standings with two points, trailing joint leaders Hilal and TP Mazembe of DR Congo by three points. Debutants Smouha of Egypt has three points.
The first half was characterised by midfield action with each side making clear their intent to break the deadlock.
However, the game had to wait till the 70th minute to witness it first goal, via Khadrouf with a powerful header from a Younes Bellakhdar cross from the right that left Hilal goalie Loic Fedjou with no option.
Seven minutes later, Da Silva nicknamed ‘Andrezinho’ announced his presence in grand style barely two minutes after replacing Ather Babiker, with a curling shot from a free-kick at the edge of the penalty area above the human wall and straight into the left corner of the net.
The visitors held on thwarting the several attacks of the homers in the closing stages for the winner.
Hilal will play host to Tetouane in the Day Four fixture in a fortnight in Omdurman.
