Having already emerged victorious from one of the six preliminary competitions, the 19-year-old won the FIFA World Football Museum’s Live Qualification Tournament on Monday 5 June 2017 to secure a coveted wildcard place at the European Regional Qualifiers of the FIFA Interactive World Cup 2017 will be held in Munich from 9-15 June.
The young Russian’s triumph crowned a spectacular evening of top-quality matches at the FIFA World Football Museum in Zurich. An international group of eight top EA SPORTS™ FIFA 17 gamers from three different countries competed for a ticket to the European qualifying tournament: Swiss representatives Luca Boller, Bruno Bardelas, Luigji Pepaj, Julian Ulrich and Sandro Poschinger, Russian competitors Andrei Gurev and Anton Klenov and Portuguese participant Jose Soares. Well known Swiss TV presenter Miriam Rickli guided players and fans through the event.
Six preliminary rounds had already been held at the new home of football history to determine the finalists. Two further competitors secured the last two wildcards for the Museum’s Final Live Tournament at the Super Sunday competition organised by Gameturnier.ch.
