Global icons descend for one of the biggest anti-racism forums

Global icons will congregate at Emperors Palace from Thursday to Friday (20-21 November 2014) for a historic anti-racism summit being organised by the Global Watch.

The Summit has been put together by the Tokyo Sexwale and Nelson Mandela Foundations in conjunction with Doha GOALS Forum.

Among the top icons expected to grace the occasion whose goal is to wipe out racism in sport across the globe are former Presidents Thabo Mbeki and Kgalema Motlanthe, soccer legend John Barnes, UN advisor to Secretary General Ban Ki-moon W Lemke, rugby celebrity Francois Pienaar and FIFA vice-president Jacques Anouma.

The Summit in which President Jacob Zuma will deliver a keynote speech on Friday morning will also be graced by Bruce Fordyce, Caster Semenya, Ambassador Duoule among other greats.

Global Watch is co-chaired by founder Tokyo Sexwale and HE Sheikh Faisal bin Mubarak Al Thani who is also the director of Doha GOALS.

Among those who will moderate some of the discussions are Minister of Sport Fikile Mbalula, Joel Netshitenzhe, Professor Njabulo Ndebele, Peter Ndoro and Piara Powar.
