The announcement was made in Cairo, Egypt during an executive meeting of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) meeting this week.
Ghana will be represented by the Black Queens who are known to be the first team to qualify Ghana to the senior FIFA competition.
Currently, the women’s game has also improved with more girls getting interested in playing, and more girls also getting the opportunity to travel and play abroad.
The national female football teams have all been performing well in recent times.
On the local front, people like Rosalind Amoah and Leanier Addy are doing a great work to promote and organize Women’s Football.
They have successfully organized competitions, the League and the Knock Out which were all highly patronized and well planned.
Ghana has well established female clubs like the Fabulous Ladies, Ghana Police, Ampem Darkoa Ladies, Mawuana Ladies, Immigration Ladies, Fire Service Ladies and others. There are also good female match officials in Ghana.
