The proposals from the Coaching, joint Coaching and Technical, Medical, Rules of the Game, Refereeing and Beach Volleyball Commissions plus the Sports Events Council were reviewed for approval ahead of the Board of Administration, which starts later on Wednesday.
FIVB President Dr. Ary S. Graça F° closed the Executive Committee meeting by thanking the members for their contribution to the meeting, emphasising the importance for regular contributions by all members to ensure a brighter future for volleyball.
“We must continue working hard and ensure the world knows all the excellent work we are doing here for the betterment of volleyball. Everyone is dedicated to making volleyball better and there are more and more people playing every day. Our discussions today are going to set the way forward for the future.
"We have a great product and we have many exciting projects. The Continental Cup is going from strength to strength, the beach volleyball World Tour is growing in popularity and now we have many more teams participating in the World League and World Grand Prix. These are exciting times. These are important times. We must focus and ensure the longevity of our sport with important decisions now.”
The FIVB Board of Administration will meet Wednesday afternoon and Thursday to review the proposals from the Executive Committee.
