Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) confirmed today that a representative from the World’s football governing body, FIFA has arrived in Freetown on a five-day administrative work with the country's FA.
The rep, Jim Stjern Hansen, arrived in Sierra Leone on Sunday and has already started his five-day work at the SLFA secretariat on Monday with a general meeting with the SLFA secretariat staff before he was taken around for a tour of the F.A’s facilities and the ongoing renovation exercise.
SLFA President, Madam Isha Johansen emphasized on future projects that will be of national benefit and such move by FIFA to send Hansen to Sierra Leone is very relevant and will certainly help develop the country's Football in all aspects.
The FA boss was quoted in an official press statement saying: “It is high time SLFA embarked on income generating projects so we do not have to be solely reliant on FIFA or CAF for our day to day existence"
Jim Hansen is the Vice President of the UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee and will be looking into and advising on the FA's statutory Ethics's code. The visitor will end his exercise at the SLFA secretariat on Friday.
