
The 27 teams have been divided into seven (7) groups - six (6) of them consisting of four (4) teams and the other made up of three (3). The action will be played in a round robin format (each team faces the others in its group), both home and away across six game days, played out every Wednesday and Saturday between 31 August and 17 September.
The already qualified teams are host nations Finland, Israel, Romania and Turkey; Rio 2016 Olympic Games participants Croatia, France, Lithuania, Serbia and Spain; and FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQTs) participants Czech Republic, Greece, Italy and Latvia.
