With the second selection, Cincinnati took forward Kei Kamara (Vancouver Whitecaps FC) and subsequently executed a trade that sent the player to the Colorado Rapids in exchange for an international roster slot for the 2019 season.
The final three selections included midfielder Roland Lamah (FC Dallas), midfielder Eric Alexander (Houston Dynamo) and defender Hassan Ndam (New York Red Bulls).
Ivory Coast native Lamah netted eight goals along with a career-high six assists for FC Dallas this past season. Alexander had a goal and two assists in 20 games this year for Houston, while 20-year-old Ndam made his first MLS start with the Red Bulls this year among the club’s stacked defensive roster.
