The club announced their intention to donate to Bradley Lowery's fund after its recent match against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. At the match, the five-year-old led the squad out on the pitch as a mascot before receiving a round of applause during the fifth minute.
Bradley also posed for a picture with the Black Cats' goalkeeper Vito Mannone who posted the picture on his Twitter account and captioned the post: 'Best thing about tonight was meeting this little fighter. Keep donating! Well done Everton for the amazing gesture.'
Furthermore, Everton will also invited Bradley and his family to the return game at Goodison Park where the players’ signed shirts will be auctioned off to support the fund.
Bradley Lowery said: “This has been amazing. I got to meet Jermain Defoe, who's my favourite and everyone said my name. Thank you everyone.”
