El Ahly (Egypt) v Recreativo do Libolo (Angola)
How they got here: The Egyptians have won all their six games so far, while Libolo currently only a 5-1 record.
Historic: The last time these two teams faced off, El Ahly prevailed 69-64 in the FIBA ACC Quarter-Finals in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea. Eventually, the Egyptians claimed the bronze medal while Libolo came in the Fifth-Place.
Players to watch and why: Veteran Tarek El-Sayed has been phenomenal at both ends of the floors. In the Semis, the 38-year-old center inspired El Ahly with 13 points and 17 rebounds. Needless to mention that Wayne Arnold remains the Egyptian's heart and soul on the offense end, averaging a team-high 15.7 points per contest.
On the other hand, Libolo benefit from a number of scorers, although Andre Harris' three-pointers have proved crucial for the Angolans.
Overview: Statistics don't lie. These two have become the two best teams in the competition. They share so many similarities that the outcome in this championship game could go either way.
While El Ahly come second in assists (19.3 per game) - behind GS Petroliers -, Libolo come third averaging 19.3 dimes per game.
The Egyptians tend to be a bit more dominant in the paint averaging a tournament-high 44.3 rebounds per game against Libolo's 43.7.
The big difference between the two is the fact that El Ahly, who are chasing their first FIBA ACC title, have the homecourt advantage, while Libolo have seen this film before. Two years ago, in Tunis, they started off with a defeat to Malabo Kings before being claiming their first-ever FIBA Africa Champions Cup title.
Earlier in the day, Kano Pillars will take on Association Sportive de Sale in the Bronze Medal Game.
