
Kelibia, Tunisia, January 22, 2015 - Defending champions Egypt cruised past North African rivals Algeria 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 25-18) in the opening match of the 2015 Boys' U19 African Nations Championship in Kelibia, Tunisia on Wednesday. The three-nation tournament acts as a qualifier for the FIVB Boys' U19 World Championship to be held in Argentina later this year.
The defending champions overwhelmed their opponents in three sets without giving the Algerian team the opportunity to make their mark on the match. Egypt start the competition with a 1-0 win-loss ratio, while Algeria begin with a defeat.
